Focused on What Matters Most

I've called the 23rd district home for over 25 years , and I'm running to fight for it.

I'm Jane Wisialowski, the Democratic candidate for Connecticut House District 23, representing Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, Lyme, and Westbrook. I raised my family here, built my career here, and I want to spend my energy serving this community. As a mother, a professional advocate for seniors and families, and a community leader, I've seen firsthand how decisions made in Hartford shape everyday life — and I'm running to make sure our communities have a strong, effective voice in the State House.

MY STORY

Growing up as the youngest of six children, I learned early the values of responsibility, empathy, and looking out for others. Those lessons have stayed with me through everything I've done since, and they're at the heart of why I serve.

Over the years I've served Old Saybrook on the Board of Education, Parks & Recreation, and now on the Board of Selectmen, working to strengthen our schools and support our community. As a professional conservator and fiduciary appointed by Connecticut probate judges, I've spent years helping seniors and individuals with disabilities manage their finances and navigate some of life's hardest moments. That work, combined with years of community volunteering, has given me a deep, personal understanding of what our neighbors actually need from their government.

WHY I'M RUNNING

The shoreline communities of our district deserve a representative focused on real solutions. I'm running to create more housing opportunities, so seniors can stay in the towns they built and young families can afford to plant roots here. I'll fight for stronger mental health services, quality public schools, and a coastline protected from the accelerating effects of climate change. And I'll always stand up for reproductive freedom and the right of every woman to make her own healthcare decisions.

I believe government should work for people — protecting opportunity, supporting families, and keeping our communities strong and vibrant for generations to come. I'm ready to bring that commitment to Hartford, and I'd be honored to earn your vote.
